
Festival of Thanks Information and Registration
Date: Sunday, November 14 from 2pm – 5pm
Location: Castillero Middle School (outside) Basketball Courts
Join us for the “Festival of Thanks”, a community fundraising event hosted by the Almaden Valley Women’s Club. Purchase one or several bags for everything you are thankful for, including friends, family, pets, loved ones, health, happiness and the list goes on …
You will have the opportunity to decorate your bag/s before illuminating them with glow sticks and placing them on a path to light up the night.
This Festival will include food trucks, craft vendors, non-profit organization booths, music, games and a children’s coloring and face painting area.
WHEN: The Almaden Valley Women’s Club invites you to participate in the “Festival of Thanks” on Sunday, November 14 from 2pm – 5pm. Registration is open to purchase bags and you can pick up your glow sticks and bags to decorate at the Festival.
** Can’t make it to the Festival but still want to participate? Register and fill out the form below and we will create bags for you, illuminate them and place them on the path.
WHERE: Castillero Middle School, Almaden Valley (corner of Camden Ave and McAbee on the Basketball Courts behind the Tennis Courts). Official address is 6384 Leyland Park Drive, San Jose, CA 95120.
WHY? Due to the Pandemic, we unfortunately had to cancel our annual fundraiser – the Almaden Art & Wine Festival. This event – produced entirely by volunteers – helps to fund multiple organizations throughout the San Jose area as well as scholarships for graduating seniors. Organizations that have benefited in the past from our event include Gifts for Teens, Days for Girls, Almaden Valley Counseling Services, Nextdoor Solutions among many others. Our past donations have made a difference for many non-profit organizations who count on us to help with their annual budgets.
For 2021 we’ve created three community events to help raise funds for these organizations plus our scholarship program. Our final event for the year is our Festival of Thanks.
WHAT:
• For a donation of $10 for one bag, $25 for 5 bags or $50 for 20 bags, participants will receive bag/s (picked up and decorated at the event) and a glow stick to place in the bag.
Register:
• To register for the event, please complete the form below.
• We are asking for donations of $10, $25 or $50 from each participant for bag/s to decorate and illuminate. Donations above that amount will happily be accepted.
** The first 40 people to register will receive a re-usable grocery swag bag with sponsor discounts and a free t-shirt (limited sizes available). Free bags can be picked up at the event from the Information booth.**
