2025 Scholarship Information
We are committed to serving the needs of the Almaden Valley community and those of greater San Jose through funds raised through our various fundraisers. Every year, some of the proceeds from our events are donated as Academic & Service Scholarships to graduating seniors living in Almaden Valley. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and community service.
Application Due Dates
● Online Application must be submitted by Friday April 4, 2025
● Official transcripts must be postmarked by Friday April 4, 2025
● Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
Qualifications and Eligibility
All applicants must fit the following criteria:
● High school senior graduating in the current academic year
● Anticipated enrollment for fall of the upcoming academic year as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, community college, or trade school (must have applied to the school by the date of the scholarship application)
● Minimum UNWEIGHTED GPA of 3.0
● Currently resides or attends school in the 95118, 95120 or 95123 zip codes
Application Procedure
● Fill out Online Scholarship Application Including: Applicant Information, School and Extracurricular Activities, Community Service and Employment Activities
● Include: 1 Letter of Recommendation (2 Letters accepted, but not required)
● Submit Application online. Mail Official Transcripts to:

● An email will be sent acknowledging receipt of the application.
● Winners will be notified by April 18, 2025
● Awards will be presented at the Almaden Valley Women’s Club Scholarship and Logo Award Ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday May 6, 2025 6:30pm at the Almaden Community Center

GILINA VOON
LELAND HIGH SCHOOL
Gilina is a camp counselor for children battling cancer and a volunteer at Kaiser's infusion clinic. She plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania.

Alana has advocated for the dignity of unhoused individuals. She intents to pursue a degree in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania so she can continue to help others, especially vulnerable populations.

Mia developed leadership skills through service in the Dominican Republic. She founded the first Black Student Union at her high school, offering others a safe and respectful place to share cultural identity.
